Abe sent an update for all of you via email today! It reads:
Hi, Everybody! The unit we’re replacing at our base is leaving tomorrow so the base will be all ours soon. We have been doing all the maintenance for the last 2 weeks but it will feel like the deployment really starts when they leave. It has been pretty stressful at times with the (VSAT) going down and all the other things that come up here. The VSAT is a military satellite for the SAMS-E box to communicate with our other shops for supply and vehicle status. Other than that its going pretty quick, just taking it day by day. I hope you all are doing well and thanks for all the letters and e-mails it means a lot. Thank you and talk to you soon.
Obviously, he appreciates the emails and packages being sent his way, so keep ‘em coming 
When I talk to him, he appears to be in good spirits and it sounds like the time is passing relatively quickly for him!
